Friday-yay!
Today, I have got the concluding DIY from my Metal Clay serial – a little more than freestyle as well as the necklace I made subsequently feeling a footling more comfortable using the clay: An initial pendant.
As alongside the triangle necklace, I created my ain template to role every bit a guide:
I tried to describe the template equally I would ideally similar the clay to follow, but alongside the understanding it would live thicker and mayhap a picayune less ‘fine’ than my writing! Bear this inwards listen when creating your template, allowing the design to cater for thicker lines [or even draw amongst a thick pen to brand certain].

Once I had created my shape, I started to attach the clay where it crossed over in addition to flatten the overall appearance. I plant the side of a toothpick did this job easily, alongside a niggling water to smooth the clay:
This, out of all the pendants, felt much more than substantial.
When dried, it had a existent weight to it, though inward my confidence amongst using the clay I don’t think I ‘finished’ the clay inwards the same way equally the earlier DIYs. The clay wasn’t as smooth equally others too I mean, a picayune also dry when shaping.
I’ve got my excuses in early, as this is what happened afterward drying fully amongst the hairdryer too starting to sand the clay:
Nightmare.
Using the same technique every bit the trіаnglе nесklасе, I made a clay paste that I could function every bit mucilage to prepare the ii halves together. As this pendant was much more than substantial, it did take a niggling longer to prepare too I applied several coats to the clay only to brand sure:
Once happy I had firmly fixed the initial dorsum together, I dried further with the hairdryer together with and so fired and sanded the finished initial:
Buffing together with polishing the clay to break the silvery underneath, the pendant was complete!
I left the finish slightly more matt than the previous designed, finishing my polish alongside a lite sanding, which also created a lighter silvery colour to the pendant:
